Alpine Refrigeration was engaged by Ergon Energy and their consulting engineers to resolve persistent water pooling and slime growth issues beneath and around plant room equipment at a critical facility. Given the operational importance of the site, works were strategically planned and executed over multiple weekends to avoid disruption to daily activities.

Project Summary

Scope of Works:

• Decommissioning and removal of existing plant services

• Disconnection and removal of redundant and obsolete services

• Design and construction of elevated support frames

• Installation of custom stainless steel drainage trays

• Repositioning and reconnection of all operational plant services

• Final commissioning and installation of protective metal capping


In addition to the plant room works, Alpine was also engaged to redesign existing ductwork and upgrade the ducted air conditioning systems to enhance air distribution within the occupied areas of the building.


All works were undertaken outside of standard operating hours, including weekends and after-hours, to ensure minimal impact on facility operations. The project was delivered on schedule, with no interruption to the client’s core activities.
