People First Bank Chilled Water Air Handling Unit Replacement
Alpine Refrigeration were the successful contractor awarded the tender by People First Bank in March 2025. The project involved the after-hours replacement of two existing Chilled Water Air Handling Units (AHUs) from within Levels 3 & 4 at People First Bank, 400 Ruthven Street Toowoomba.

Project Summary
Key challenges involved the complete disassembly and removal of the existing AHUs from confined Plant Rooms through standard-size doorways. The new AHUs were similarly disassembled off-site, transported in sections, and reassembled in place.
Works also included the installation of new electrical power supplies, integration with the Building Management System (BMS), replacement of temperature and CO₂ sensors, connection to existing chilled water pipework, and comprehensive testing and commissioning. Final water and air balancing was completed for Levels 3 and 4 to ensure optimal system performance.
