Project Summary
Previously, each building was serviced by a single rooftop package unit on the first floor and VRF split ducted equipment on the ground floor. All existing equipment was replaced with new units, while Newlands Commercial Construction carried out plant deck resealing and installed louvered enclosures.
The new equipment included advanced technology from Temperzone’s Econex Rooftop Package units and Mitsubishi Electric VRF Heat-Recovery systems. Due to the complexity of the DPI facility at Tor Street, all work had to be meticulously planned around specific departmental requirements to ensure minimal disruption during the replacement process.
Alpine Refrigeration and Newlands collaborated seamlessly to ensure the project was completed within the tight construction timeline over the Christmas holiday period. In addition to replacing the air conditioning units, Alpine Refrigeration also supplied and installed Mitsubishi Electric central controllers in each building. All associated electrical wiring and circuits were replaced by our qualified electricians to meet the latest Australian standards.
Despite the complexity of the project, Alpine Refrigeration worked alongside our clients at the Department of Primary Industries and Newlands to deliver the best outcome for all stakeholders, staying within budget and meeting the necessary deadlines.
